5K COMMUNITY RUN
The Kaçkar by UTMB team invites everyone to join a special 5K Community Run on 23 July 2026 at Çay Çarşısı, Rize.
Open to women, men, and children of all ages, the event is free of charge and no registration is required. Whether you are a regular runner or simply looking to enjoy an active morning with family and friends, everyone is welcome.
The run will be led by the ambassadors of Run Like Her, a Kaçkar by UTMB initiative created to inspire more women to explore trail running, outdoor adventure, and the mountains with confidence. Between 20–25 July, the ambassadors will be taking part in a training camp across the Kaçkar Mountains, experiencing sections of the Kaçkar by UTMB course while discovering the region’s unique culture, traditions, and natural beauty.
After several days on the trails, they will come to Rize city centre to meet the local community, share their experiences, and run alongside residents and visitors. Following the run, participants will have the opportunity to meet the ambassadors in person during a community gathering and cultural tour.
There will be another opportunity to meet the Run Like Her ambassadors on 24 July at Huser Yaylası. At 14:00, local residents and visitors are invited to welcome the athletes back as they complete the final stage of their training camp journey on the Kaçkar by UTMB course, surrounded by the spectacular views above the clouds that Huser is famous for.
As we count down to Kaçkar by UTMB 2026, taking place on 11–13 September in Ayder, Rize, we invite everyone to join us in celebrating sport, community, and the spirit of the Kaçkar Mountains.
