IF YOU ARE TRAVELLING BY PLANE
There are two airports with close proximity to the Ayder Plateau.
Rize-Artvin airport in Rize is an international airport. Arriving via Rize-Artvin Airport (RZV) is a convenient option for participants who prefer to be close to the start for the Kaçkar 100K, 50K and 20K, which will begin at Ayder Plateau in Rize. However the most convenient connection flights are from Istanbul, Ankara or Izmir for international travellers.

- Ankara (ESB) - Rize (RZV) : 1h 15min

The other airport close to Rize is Trabzon International Airport (TZX), which concentrates regular national and international flights, such as Stuttgart, Dubai, Dusseldorf, London and Paris.
Another option is the Batumi International Airport (BUS). Although located in Georgia, it is a valuable option due to lots of regular daily transportation options to and from Rize city center.
Communication from the airports to the start and accommodation area must be done in combination with road transport: by bus, taxi or private transport.

From Rize City Center to Ayder:
For transportation to Ayder Plateau by bus you can take the Ayder minibus, which departs every hour from the Rize/Pazar or Rize/Ardeşen minibus stops until 5 PM. The trip takes about 1 hour.
