All participants in the Ayder 4K race are required to carry the following equipment throughout the race:
- Race bib (must be worn visibly at all times)
- Mobile phone (with sufficient battery and emergency contact numbers saved)
- ID card or passport
Recommended equipment
As weather conditions can change rapidly, participants are strongly advised to carry the following items:
- Lightweight long-sleeve shirt
- At least 500 ml of water
- Emergency blanket (minimum 1.40 × 2.00 m)
- Whistle
Note: The mandatory equipment list for Ayder 4K has been kept to a minimum. Depending on weather conditions and safety requirements, the organization reserves the right to modify the mandatory equipment list before the race.
Ayder 4K participants receive:
- Race bib (with timing chip)
- Finisher medal
- Participant bag
- Ayder 4K after-finish area access
- Medical assistance
A medical certificate is not required for participation in Ayder 4K. By registering, you confirm that you are physically fit and participate voluntarily at your own risk.
The first three men and the first three women in the general ranking receive an award.
There is no age categories podium for Ayder 4K.
Awards and trophies are only distributed at the prize giving ceremony. It's mandatory to be present in order to receive them.

- Friday, 11 September: 10:00-20:00
- Saturday, 12 September: 09:00-10:00
